AIDA 2 Pool freediving adventure consists of a theoretical part and a pool section. The adventure is suitable for those who are already familiar with water, and has experience in for example, scuba diving, diving, swimming, and if the fins stay on your feet and mask on your face. With this adventure you will learn the basic skills and knowledge of freediving from breathing techniques and relaxation with finning technique for freediving and equalisation techniques. The adventure consists of theoretical lectures, pool exercises and an exam.

After this adventure, the student has the ability to safely freedive and independently practice freediving in the pool. At the end of the adventure, AIDA2 Pool- freediving card, which is a requirement for many
dive centers around the world, is awarded to students who have passed the AIDA
requirements (2 min static breathhold, 40 meter dynamic dive with fins and 75% of points in
exam). The pool card can be upgraded to Aida2 freediver card by completing the open water
courses with our open water adventure or with any other Aida instructor around the world.

 

Adventure content:

2 at least 2 hour theory lection

2 two hour pool adventure training (static breathhold and dynamic apnea)

Rescue drills

Exam (2 hour)

Lung volume measurement (voluntary)

Attendance requirements:

18 years of age (16 with parents permission)

Be able to swim comfortable 200 meters  without any equipment and 300 meter

with mask, snorkel and fins

Previous freediving certificate (aida1) and freediving experience is not required

 

If you pass the following requirements you will be awarded by aida2 pool

freediving card:

2 minutes static apnea

40 meter dynamic apnea

Exam (75/100 points)

 

What to bring in this adventure:

Bathing suit and towel

Basic diving equipment (mask, snorkel and fins)

Waterpoof stopwatch

Weights

Wetsuit 

Our school also has some loan equipment if you are missing one of the above.
